Opps forgot to mention that asciidoc outputs custom processing instructions ?asciidoc-hr? and ?asciidoc-br? that you need to detect in the xsl stylesheet to generate the appropriate markup. Looking at the xsl customisations for the pdf toolchains might also give you some hints.
