Thanks Lex, The nearest I got to achieving what I wanted was this: . Text for item one . Text for item two . -4 Text for item three and four -- [start=5] . Text for item five . etc.
It looked ok-ish but I decided what I was doing was a bit unusual so I redesigned my list to be normally sequential.
