Yep, I'll update the README. Btw, the README is already AsciiDoc :) I'm doing that on all my repos as well...since it's just better.
Unfortunately, the GitHub rendering of AsciiDoc is still rough around the edges, but folks at GitHub have told me to expect improvements in that area.
