Thanks for the patch, it's one of these additions that falls into the category of "convenience feature" i.e. it doesn't make something possible, just easier, replacing two commands with one e.g. asciidoc -b remove foobar; asciidoc -b install foobar.zip replaced by this: asciidoc -b replace foobar.zip The decision to add it comes down to how often would it would be used and how much time (relative to the total amount of time using AsciiDoc) does it save the typical user. In this case it would be relatively infrequently used by most users and my call is to not include it -- anything that adds to the code base at this stage of AsciiDoc's maturity is going to have a pretty high barrier to cross -- unless of course there is a great wailing and gnashing of teeth from the multitudes (accompanied by reasoned argument :-) Cheers, Stuart > > Il giorno martedì 11 dicembre 2012 10:31:15 UTC+1, carloratm ha scritto: > > > > Il giorno martedì 11 dicembre 2012 00:03:57 UTC+1, Lex Trotman ha > scritto: > > [...] > > > The patch is really small, and the idea could be integrated > easily in the > > install command. > > Yes, that would be a good idea, then scripts don't have to try > install, test if it fails and then try replace. > > > Done.
