the FAQ tells how to get rid of auto-magical image captions ("Figure 1.
abc" where only "abc" is the actually provided caption/title) that is by
setting the caption attribute to the empty string.

question: can this be somehow achieved for dblatex output as well without
messing with the generated tex-files prior to the pdflatex run? since the
dblatex mailing list seems quite dead, I hope to get a tip here... it
seems not to be configurable in the xsl parameters, but maybe in the
dbk_*.sty latex style files used by dblatex?
