I use asciidoc to maintain formal tech doc.
I had an issue that looks simple , trivial, but I felt more important than
it looks...

this is also fine:

(17:21:46)::
    last BGP UPDATE from cisco

9432    17:21:46.825811000      10.64.0.27      10.64.50.94     BGP     262
    UPDATE Message

(17:22:46)::
    last BGP (KA) message in this session

    9438    17:22:46.722671000      10.64.0.27      10.64.50.94     BGP
73      KEEPALIVE Message

comparing with this:

(17:21:46)::
    last BGP UPDATE from cisco
+
----
9432    17:21:46.825811000      10.64.0.27      10.64.50.94     BGP     262
    UPDATE Message
----

(17:22:46)::
    last BGP (KA) message in this session
+
----
9438    17:22:46.722671000      10.64.0.27      10.64.50.94     BGP     73
     KEEPALIVE Message
----

I like the list block because it gives me the text frame border, which
looks nice in the technical docs to include the raw data.
I like the literal block , because it is very simple to write (avoiding
those extra + and -- stuff) looks much more nature in the text file with
the indention under a title.

is it possible to have a list block , but also indented , to make it looks
clear and good in the pure text?
or, shall I say, is it possible to give a liternal block a text frame
border line ? -- that will be perfect....

regards
ping
