I tried the Python implementation:

  asciidoc -a noheader document.asc

but it had no effect.

I tried the Ruby implementation:

  asciidoctor -a noheader document.asc

it removed the header metadata. The footer information remained.

This had no effect:

  asciidoctor -a nofooter document.asc

Thoughts?
