For example, when writing a man page in asciidoc and referring to other
manpages, I do "*foobar*(3)". asciidoc processes this properly, but the
vim syntax highlighting doesn't stop the highlighting at the second "*"
because the "(" is right after it.
The same problem exists with the asciidoc highlighting that comes bundled
with vim, so I filed a separate bug report with
