You simply have to modulate the length of the delimiter since Asciidoctor uses exact matches for delimiter lines. This won't work for open blocks since open blocks can only be 2 characters atm. It does work for other types. As Lex pointed out, however, there are some blocks for which is makes no sense (like listing and literal blocks) and in other cases, it's just not a great idea to be nesting (like a sidebar in a sidebar). I am leaning towards the idea of having a general purpose block for creating compound structures. I think something similar to an open block would work well for this purpose.
