In every document I have created using asciidoc I have wanted to display a logo *before* the document title. I know quite a few other people who want to do the same thing and there are a huge number of documents on the web with logos before document titles so it seems a very, very common need. I wonder why it is not supported.
The best way I have found to do this is to include the images in *docinfo.* files. There are two issues with this approach: you need separate files for each output format and, if you want the logo/image as a data-uri you have have convert it yourself and insert the data-uri into the docinfo file. Some of the other ways are truly horrible hacks. Another way is to put the logo in a theme or css file. However not all images that one might want to put before a document title belong as part of the style. Also the handling of themes (must be in the asciidoc installation directory) and issues with css file searches and inclusion (I can't remember the problem details now) put me off this approach. What would be ideal would to be able to include an image:: before the title block. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "asciidoc" group.
