Hi,
No, each cell of a table is treated as a separate section contents, so
any list inside it would be interrupted by the end of the cell.
But in asciidoctor counter attributes can be used to make a number
stream {counter:<attrname>[:<seed>]}
https://asciidoctor.org/docs/user-manual/#counters. Not sure it will
work in other implementations.
