I verified by looking at objects
I also just found that if I
git clone gk...@common-lisp.net:/project/asdf/public_html/asdf.git
I get the tip whereas if I
git clone http://common-lisp.net/project/asdf/asdf.git
I get

I wonder if the problem is

(Why won't I see changes in the remote repo after "git push"?). On
the other hand, the repo on cl.net has no working tree; I'm tempted to
try `git reset --hard` and see if that helps.
What do you (or anyone else! <smile>) think?
