No, you do not need to reindex. We keep db format the same across all 1.0.x
releases. In 1.1 there is some changes, and there can be more (to improve speed
or add some functionality), since it's devel release.
But in 1.0 all you need to do is make install, and don't forget to
update s.cgi!!
