Actually I am wondering about how the indexing works - does aspseek
really only crawl the pages, following one link after another?

I am wondering, because I have some dirs indexed that should not be,
because there are no links into it (images/ is one of them). aspseek
calls them and gets an index-file back from the apache which is
in turn put into the aspseek-index (which is bad, because people look
for a product e.g. and only get the image that has its name)

Additionally I am kinda sure that I had no backlinks to the "choose your
language"-homepage from the german part, but it got indexed too (and
then the english pages with it).

Thats why I am wondering.

Is there a way (perhaps by manually looking into the database) to find
from where a link goes to that dir (just to make sure there is none)

Additionally I'd like to know if there is a way to get a list of
404-pages which are shown as a number in the statistics, but not as
pages :)
