it is possible to merge [import] databases (and if necessary, delta files) from two different indexing machines? (so that the collective data from both indexes is available on a single machine) I know its technicall possible to import tables and data from another DB on another host into mySQL, but is this ALL that aspseek will need? or do we also need to merge the delta files? Also, is it "safe" to run two (or more) nodes indexing using the same database (stored on a third [database server] machine)? Just thinking of: a) scalability b) sharing my index with others... if they could be made available via FTP (or even by setting up a guest user in mySQL) it would save many people considerable bandwidth and CPU time... what say all? ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through UK Online webmail
