I have a box setup on a dedicated T-1 (1544 kbps) with NO other users what so ever. So I wouldn't saturate the entire T-1's bandwidth and possibly run into problems indexing, I used aspseek.conf as follows:
# 70% of 1544 kbps MaxBandwidth 135100 but no matter what I seem to set this to indexer runs at full speed and uses the entire bandwidth of the T-1 according to MRTG and my ISP. Am I doing or calculating this wrong or is there a bug in this? I also tried this to see if I could see any change in times of day: #11pm - 12am 80% MaxBandwidth 154400 82800 86400 #12am - 11am MaxBandwidth 154400 0 39600 #11am - 11pm 70% MaxBandwidth 135100 39600 82800 but no change seems to take place. When I run index I usually do either of the two: ./index -N 100 ./index -N 80 Thanks, Karen _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
