Thanks. Got it!

I was wondering what that  “Scrire” given name was… She is Exire Soucy
(Soucie?). How do I know? Funny you should ask.

I found one Albertine Emond, age 6, listed in the family of Albert Emond and
Exire Soucy on the 1930 US Census in Maine. OK, more than one dog named Spot,
especially if one’s in Maine and the other in Kansas… so I looked a bit more.

I found an obit for Frances Emond, daughter of Albert and Exire, d. in 2007.
“She leaves behind… sister Albertine Decou…”

Victory is mine!
