Dear Friends,
I take this opportunity to inform you about Enterprise Networking
Committee. This E-mail is an invitation for everyone to take a
closer look at EntNet, become a member free of cost and contribute
to tomorrow's technologies today.
Enterprise Networking committee (EntNet) is a unique TC of IEEE
Communication Society focusing on End to End Networked Solutions
for enterprises. It addresses enterprise business and application
areas as well as enabling technologies, platforms and emerging
products.EntNet will give valuable opportunities to researchers,
developers, practitioners and end users by learning and sharing
their ideas, views, experiences and technologies on enterprise
networking. Areas concentrated by EntNet to name a few are
* Enterprise-wide computing, including middleware for distributed
processing systems, client-serving computing, and distributed
object computing.
* Virtual Private Networking (VPNs)
* Management of enterprise networks (e.g., configuration, fault,
performance, accounting, security, etc.).
* Integration of network and systems management from an
enterprise
viewpoint.
* Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise information
resource management
* Internet/Intranet/Extranet applications, services and solutions
to support the enterprise both in the back-office and in the
"business to business" and "business to customer" relationships
* Mobile Wireless voice/data applications, services and
solutions.
* Business support systems including Customer Relationship
Management Systems.
* New e-business and e-commerce models
Your becoming a member of EntNet is advantageous to you in multiple
ways. For example, all of us, researchers, software developers,
Industrialists, Service Providers and End Users can meet, discuss,
share ideas and trends. This assures better inputs for setting
tomorrow's standards and technologies. Student members get chances
to get exposed to industry requirements and revolutionary ideas
addressing them. Endusers can get a feel of what is available and
give others a feel of what they want, as today's users are hi-tech
geeks themselves. You can present papers in our EntNet's frequently
occurring conferences. You can review papers in your field of
interest.
The chair persons leading EntNet are highly eminent and technically
qualified gentlemen. Each one of these gentlemen has been setting
trends in his field for quite a long time. They became members of
EntNet quite early probably!!
EntNet Members get regular E-newsletters, schedules of Regular
Meetings, conferences and their venues, call for papers, call for
paper reviews, news on publications, to list a few E-benefits.
News-groups and mailing lists are underway. We will soon have
different working groups working on various technologies, throwing
infinite ways of possibilities to you to participate in this
hitech rendezvous.
The Enterprise network committee's Supercomm 2001 call for papers
is already out. If you would like to present or review papers,
just become a member to choose your topic.
Its going to be interesting, its going to be lot of fun to make
people implement the standards we set. Join hands with us. Share,
Learn and Reap the Best.
As membership chair I welcome you all to Enterprise Networking
Committee. I would appreciate if you circulate this invitation to
your colleagues and friends to join EntNet. It is just one
Forward-Button-Click away.
