[ASN.1] Problem with a range in PER

Hi all,
      Can anyone guide me about the range to be considered for the following
 element

 x  ::= INTEGER (4| 8| 16| 32| 64| 128| 256)


 will it be
 256-4 +1 = 253
and mininmum value =4 ?

So this will encode in 8 bits?
Please guide...
