[ASN.1] anybody knows abt EMBEDDED PDV

Hi all,   I am working with FTAM. It is a File Transfer, and Access Management protocol.   i am now concentrating with Presentation services of it.   my doubt is, how exactly the PPDU content will be in case of P-Connect-Indication !   The P-connect-indication has some paramters called PDV-list.  The ASN.1 format of it says it is EXTERNAL.  what does it mean ?  I got to know that EXTERNAL means, self-explicitly indicates need not defined in the current module. But while implementing had doubt how to handle that ?   anybody working with FTAM in this group ?     regs, -Salai.G
