Para usar texto dinamico dentro de un boton tu boton necesita ser creado de un Movie Clip ya que los Movie Clips en MX y + soportan el systema dinamico.
Has la prueba muy censilla, mira con la forma en que estas trabajando ahora nadamas cambia tu boton a un Movie Clip.
