The trick with getting the examples to work from ./site/eg
in the Apache::ASP distribution is to have
AllowOverride All
configured in such a way that ./site/eg/.htaccess is
activated. I try my best to explain this here:

Also, if you haven't installed mod_perl yet, you must.
This itself is a big deal if you haven't done so, and
