Do you mean SQL Server and Oracle? SQL Server is a microsoft product
which uses Transact-SQL as a language, and Oracle is an er... Oracle
product, and uses PL-SQL as a language. They're both relational
databases, SQL Server runs only on flavours of MS Windows, whereas
Oracle runs on a variety of platforms. They both support ANSI SQL
standards after a fashion. They can both be connected to via ODBC.
