Hi all,
I am veryu new to ASP and have got some problems in debugging. Here is
the details of the problem:-
I have added a virtual directory to the default web site of IIS. The
default page is LogIn.asp. The requirement of the page is that, it takes user
name and ID from windows NT. For this, the page requires to be coupled with
WindowsAuthentication using IIS. The system I am using is operating on Windows
XP.
When, you log in with your user ID, to your browser, your userID works
as server variable, whenever you request for any other dynamic page, depending
upon your user type saved in the database, it should be able to output you the
correct informations assigned for you.
But as long as I am unble to give windows authentication for login, I am
not able to find wheather the pages are running correctly. As, it can't find
any user ID always, it is redirected to a page which shows "You are not
authorized" as per the codes.
Please, kindly help me as soon as possible.
