Hi...
I'm new to asp and I currently am using Windows XP Pro. I'm having a
lot of difficulty seeing the page on my website (not to mention
using the http://localhost/test1.asp).

I read a tutorial on
www.webwizguide.info/asp/tutorials/email_using_cdonts_tutorial.asp

and it states that "the cdonts component is installed when you
install IIS on NT4 and Win2000. Although the component will run on
Windows XP (Pro I'm assuming since it doesn't work on XP Home
versions), Microsoft has decided to remove the component from IIS
5.1 on Windows XP so you will have to track down a copy of the
cdonts.dll and register it on the IIS web server".

I have already done a check and made sure that my IIS is installed
(which it is) and it's a version of 4.0 or higher. I can't find
a 'cdonts.dll' file, so I guess I'd like to know if I am at all able
to use cdonts for my email file forms with what I am using right now.

Btw, I have been writing html, css & javascript all on my own just
using a plain old notepad (so no frontpage or dreamweaver etc.)

Actually, what I really want to know is how I am supposed to track
down a "cdonts.dll" copy and where I could get this and also how to
register it on my IIS web server.

Hopefully this makes sense! I really am very appreciative for all of
the help that you've provided. I've read quite a bit of your
suggestions first to see if any would answer this question so I know
how great all of you are!

Thanks again,
Kit
