der Pfad zu der DLL steht unter:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\
AssemblyFolders\IEWebControls
Aber normalerweise sollte eine Kopie auch im Globalen Cache stehen.
Hier der Auszug aus der ReadMe im Installverzeichnis, ich hoffe es hilft:
Installing Internet Explorer WebControls Version 1.0
----------------------------------------------------
When installing Microsoft Internet Explorer WebControls Version 1.0,
ensure that you are running with Administrator privileges.
Install IE WebControls by running the iewebcontrols.msi file. This can
be done when downloading the iewebcontrols.msi file from the download
page on MSDN. The iewebcontrols.msi file can also be downloaded first
and then executed.
The iewebcontrols.msi installer performs the following operations:
1. Verifies that IIS V5.0 or later is installed.
2. Creates the following directory:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Internet Explorer WebControls"
and copies Microsoft.Web.UI.WebControls.dll to the directory.
Note: The folder is created on the disk being used by the operating
system (OS). The "C" drive may not be used for the OS on all machines.
3. Microsoft.Web.UI.WebControls.dll is installed into the Global
Assembly Cache
4. Adds a link to the MSDN WebControls documentation to the Programs
Menu.
5. The following directories are added below the Root Web:
webctrl_client\1_0\
webctrl_client\1_0\images
webctrl_client\1_0\treeimages
webctrl_client\1_0\treeimages\rtl
6. Copies the HTC files (Behaviors)
The HTML Components files implementing the behaviors are copied to the
"webctrl_client\1_0\" folder below the Root Web folder.
These behaviors can be used in Internet Explorer 5.5 and later
versions, and are used automatically by the IE WebControls in ASP.NET
WebForms.
7. Copies images to the following paths:
Images used by the WebControls: "webctrl_client\1_0\images"
Images for the TreeView: "webctrl_client\1_0\treeimages"
Right-to-left images for the TreeView:
"webctrl_client\1_0\treeimages\rtl"
8. Creates the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\
AssemblyFolders\IEWebControls
The default string value of this key is set to the folder where
Microsoft.Web.UI.WebControls.dll was installed, which is usually
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Internet Explorer WebControls"

Nein, ich mein schon Microsoft.Web etc.
Das sind doch die TreeView, TabStrips, MultiPage etc. Komponenten.
Ins Bin Verzeichnis kopieren.
das sagst Du so einfach. Aber ich gehe davon aus, dass .NET die Controls da
sucht wo sie ursprünglich (also lokal) installiert waren. Ich kann auch den
quellpfad in den Eigenschaften des z.B. TabStrips-Controls nicht ändern.
WEnn das möglich wäre würde ich auf meinem rechner einen parallelen Pfad zu
dem Severpfad anlegen und diese dann dort reinstellen und auch von dort
referenzieren.
Aber das geht auch nicht.
Aber gut, ich versuch mal diese Variante. Wird schon irgendwann klappen.

meinst Du System.Web.UI.WebControls oder gibt's tatsächlich einen Add-On von
MS?
Im ersteren Fall dürfte es keine Rolle spielen, weil sich die System.*
Klassen im GAC (Global Assembly Cache) befinden und somit auch global
verfügbar sind. Im letzeren Fall müsstest Du die DLLs ins bin Verzeichnis
der Anwendung kopieren (VS.NET kann's automatisch machten).

anders referenziert werden wie lokal.
D.h., lokal liegt die dll auf C:\program files\microsoft
studio.net\frameworkSDK\bin und am server unter ...wasweißich !!
Gibts hier einen Lösungsvorschlag ??
