Hi all, The AJDT team is pleased to announce it 1.6.2 release candidate. This version of AJDT uses the AspectJ 1.6.3 release candidate that was announced today. The focus of this release has been Eclipse integration. Programmers should be able to see the effects of their aspects everywhere it makes sense. This release makes great strides towards that goal. The key to this functionality is the JDT Weaving plugin.
The release candidate is available from our downloads page: http://www.eclipse.org/ajdt/downloads/#dev1.6 For more information on the JDT Weaving plugin and how it works, see here: http://wiki.eclipse.org/JDT_weaving_features The final release is scheduled for January 5, assuming that no major problems are found between now and then. A full New and Noteworthy will be available with the final release. I would like to thank all the AJDT users who have already provided feedback on their experiences with JDT Weaving. Also, I would like to put out a special thank you to Martin Lippert and Heiko Seeberger of the Equinox Aspects team for helping out with weaving into Eclipse. As always, we rely on community support to request features and identify bugs. Please do not hesitate to post any feedback or potential bugs to the ajdt-dev mailing list or to Eclipse's Bugzilla (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/). sincerely, Andrew Eisenberg The AJDT Team _______________________________________________ aspectj-users mailing list [email protected] https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/aspectj-users
