Hi all, We are looking at what we can do to enhance the IDE experience for load-time weaving (LTW) development - ie. the creation of aspects that will be deployed in any kind of load-time weaving configuration. Initially we want to gather input on what works, what doesn't work and what is missing. To help us collect feedback we have created enhancement request 260342: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=260342 . In that enhancement request you will find a number of questions about how you are using load-time weaving and any issues you might be having.
I wouldn't expect anyone to exhaustively answer all the questions in there - but reading through them will help you understand where we are thinking there might be issues and perhaps they will trigger you to think of some killer feature that we really must add ;) Any feedback is appreciated either on the aspectj list, ajdt list or in the enhancement request as a comment. thanks.
