We have the necessary eclipse approvals in place for a release and so I'm pleased to announce that AspectJ 1.7.0.RC1 is out.
1.7.0 is our Java7 supporting version. The key changes in the RC are that in can now weave into code containing the new invokedynamic instruction. Invokedynamic is still not surfaced as a join point but using execution() rather than call() pointcuts will still ensure you can advise the code that invokedynamic ends up calling.
