Hi All,
I'm making a preliminary (and not very teccie) enquiry into a specific
need for six languages that is not currently supported in Aspell.
This is mutations - in Welsh, Gaelic, Scots Gaelic, Manx, Cornish and
Breton the *first letter* of many words changes according to context.
At the moment the Breton and Welsh Aspell dictionaries list all these
words in all their states ie
Cymraeg, Gymraeg, Chymraeg. Nghymraeg
etc.
Algorithms exist to make these comparisons and even to do this
according to grammatical context.
I'm wondering how much work (for someone competent) it would be to add
to Aspell the ability to make these comparisons properly?
Thanks
Jim
