If the text was "If you distribute a modified version of the DLL" you would be right IMO, but it reads "If you distribute a (possibly modified) version of the DLL" This sounds to me like: It is possible to modify the cygwin1.dll, but regardless if you did so, you have to provide the source code. I am neither a lawyer nor a member of cygnus/redhat, but I found a reply from a cygwin FAQ maintainer regarding this subject: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=de&lr=&ie=UTF-8&threadm=a6oa83%24j2s%241%40FreeBSD.csie.NCTU.edu.tw&rnum=24&prev=/groups%3Fnum%3D100%26hl%3Dde%26lr%3D%26ie%3DISO-8859-1%26scoring%3Dd%26q%3Dcygwin%2Bdll%2Bprovide%2Bsource%2BOR%2Bship%2BOR%2Bdistribute%26btnG%3DGoogle-Suche HTH -- Thorsten Maerz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sylpheed-claws/Win32: http://claws-w32.sf.net _______________________________________________ Aspell-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/aspell-user
