I am using aspell to check a German text which includes umlauts. Those umlauts are written as \"a, \"u, \"o (for �, �, �). Is it possible to let aspell be aware of this masking? (Actually, I use the ngerman package, which alows to use "a instead of \"a etc.) hm looks like you are running aspell uppon latex text. right now latex filter is not capable of encoding decoding the umlaute but after loadable filter stuff is done and next release of aspell is on its way (if i got kevin right) i ' might have a look into that.
