Hi,

> I found 2 files in my home folder. They are, ".apsell.en.prepl" and

They are created by the aspell program (in fact, its library, If you use
a program that uses libaspell, you will also get these files).
The files are related to the dictionary you used ("en" for english).

> - What's the purpose of ".aspell.en.prepl"?

It stores replacement pairs when you tell aspell to learn from mistakes.

Yes. Check aspell manual:
http://aspell.net

Check the manual link. The manual is complete, AFAIK.
