I've noticed that the old "no" dictionaries have been put in the same
directory as the "nn" (Norwegian "Nynorsk") dictionary:
http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict/nn/
That's a mistake. The old "no" dictionary is actually Norwegian
"Bokm�l", and should thus be put under
http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict/nb/
and the symlink at
http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict/no/
should point to nb instead of nn.
I'm using the "no" (0.50-2) dictionary when composing emails in "Bokm�l"
with Sylpheed-Claws, so I'm certain that it's not "Nynorsk". Common
words in "Nynorsk" like "ikkje" (not) and "dei" (they) fail, while their
counterparts in "Bokm�l" ("ikke" and "de") are accepted.

I suppose that must be either a copy and paste error (pasting from
"nb"?), or the creator of the "Nynorsk" dictionary may originally have
called it "no", conflicting with the existing "no" dictionary.
As the "Bokm�l" language variant is written by more than 80%, maybe
closer to 90%, of the Norwegian population, and "no" was origionally a
"Bokm�l" dictionary anyway, the aliases norsk.alias and norwegian.alias
should be moved to the "nb" package and point to the "nb" dictionary.
Having them point to the "Nynorsk" variant will only lead to confusion
and irritation for the majority of Norwegian users.
Alternatively, those aliases should be completely removed, possibly
being replaced by new aliases:
In "nb": norsk-bokmal.alias, norsk-bokm�l.alias,
norwegian-bokmal.alias and norwegian-bokm�l.alias
In "nn": norsk-nynorsk.alias and norwegian-nynorsk.alias
For completeness, country suffixes should also be available:
nb =nb_NO, and nn = nn_NO
Or are those suffixes only used for languages that are used in more than
one country? Unlike English, we have two variants in only one country,
instead of one variant for each country (en_US, en_GB, en_CA, en_AU...).
