The sad thing is that is is a real problem in my practice.

Since I don't do vowel stripping, because Swedish vowels always sounds
the same, or can be divided into groups sounding the same, and since
Swedish has a very close mapping between characters and sounds, it
affects 48 of 118270 words in my word list, more than 0.04%! The longest
one is "konsumentprisindex" which is wrongly translated into
KONSUMENTPRISINTEK.

Ok, so it's not a major part of the words. :)

However, important words, like "sex", "Linux", and "Unix" are affected.
