Mark, I ran in to that same problem on one machine but not on a second. I think I resolved it by changing the trust level in web.config. BTW, are you running Sharepoint on the same machine? I had a lot of trouble changing the trust level on my webserver that is running Sharepoint and on which I do some ASP.Net development.
