Hello,
Lately, I have been looking into getting Microsoft
certified. I would like your thoughts on a couple of
issues.
Here in the Washington DC area, Java/J2EE jobs
outnumber .NET jobs. Also, C# jobs outnumber VB jobs
among the .NET jobs.
Even though I come from C/Unix background I have
gotten used to the ease of vb and don't want to return
to a C variant language. Most people suggest I should
take the certification exams in C#, which I really
don't want to do.
Two quick questions
- if I have to learn a C based language, would it make
more sense careerwise to learn Java/J2EE?
- if I take the microsoft exams in vb, would this
adversely affect my chances of finding a .NET job?
Thank you,
Burak
