Thanks raj.. Is what I ended up doing,  I thought there might have been
a panel property that provided  a little minimise box as standard That I
somehow wasn't noticing, guess not

No treeview nothing.
 
Panels when made invisible, does not leave space empty.  It just
disappears and that place is filled with the rest of the page.
 
And when made visible, occupies its space by pushing the other controls
below it.
 
So just have a button, add panel below it, and then toggle visible and
invisible properties of panel with the each click of the button.

I know this is a simple one.. But in many different sites I see people
with What seem to be panels that you can minimise by clicking on a
control button.

How do I go about achieving this?
Is this a tree view control with a panel as a node.. Such that you can
allow users to minimise/maximise the page or something else?
