You can use:

Sharpedevelop / Webmatrix 

As alternatives for visual studio.net 
Both are free. 

You can also use the express beta products from MS.

Hmmm. can't really give you any links for it. You might want to consider
purchasing the standard version of the product you need.
For example if the project is in VB.Net. their standard edition is about
$100 +/-, the same with C#.NET, both will allow for programming in
ASP.NET/ADO.NET.
I don't think they offer a trial version..
