I figured it out. Here is what I used:
Response.CacheControl = "Private"
Response.ContentType = "text/csv"
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=""" & _filename
& """")
Response.WriteFile(_dirfilename)
Response.End()
Nothing else seemed to work.
