It will query a SQL Server database table (at a set interval), look at a column, and if it finds records that match a criteria. Show a little popup message (ex. "You have 2 new requests"). Clicking on a link in a popup or on the icon takes the user to a web page where they can look at these requests. It needs to have settings or an options screen where you can put in the link to the page, query interval, and anything else you think it will need.
