It looks to me like you could create two separate styles. #1 being bold #2
being not bold and then switch between the two styles based on what the user
selects. If I have time this weekend I can implement this on my website and
then email the link to you.
Do you have a URL of your current layout so we can get a visual on this?

Thank you for your reply. this has the functionality that I want,
however what I am wanting to do is create something like thime myself.
I would like to create it in pure c# as a user control so that I can
use it freely through any of the future projects that I may do. This
is where I need the help/examples. I can figure out how to make the
top part of the form look like a tool bar and I can also figure out how
to add the multiline text box, however what I can not figure out is how
to actually use something in code. Here is how I have things set up so
far, maybe this will give you some ideas of how to direct me from
here. I have my tool bar set up as image buttons accros the top, drop
down menus for fonts, etc. What I need to do is be able to click the
BOLD icon and when I start typing it will be in bold, and once I click
the BOLD icon again it will turn the BOLD off. This is where I need
some guidance. Can someone guide me on how I would do something like
this functionally?
