I didnt understand that very well.... I think I misunderstood something. So each alias is one active user, or an alias is a shortname for a move?
Then the list that youa re talking about is a list of the available moves "aliases"? or it is a list of active players "aliases" who are online at that time? >I'm using Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition. What I am wanting to do is create a list of aliases that I use for a mud related game. What I mean byaliases is "alias don e;e;e" This will allow me to type don and that will move myself east 3 times.I want the alias list to show up on gosh.aspx page and keep it on that page. ----- Original Message ----- From: Falls, Travis D (HTSC, CASD) To: AspNetAnyQuestionIsOk@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, December 28, 2005 1:25 PM Subject: RE: [AspNetAnyQuestionIsOk] Supposed to be easy. hey Jeff, Can you explain to me what you mean by aliases and what you want to do with them? Basically explain in English not code what you want to do. I am having trouble following what you "business process" is. I may have something I can cannibalize to help you. Also what IDE are you coding in vs.net 2003? Travis D. Goodness, this was really supposed to be easy. The concept behind my webpage was to be able to allow me to put in aliases for myself. (seven hours later) I now turn to you professionals. For example: Type in the alias I want here. Post the alias I made down here and keep it. So next time I come back it is already there and I can add another alias. This is what I have here so far. The webpage name I am working with is gosh.aspx <html> <head></head> <body> <form runatu003d"server" methodu003d"POST" actionu003d"gosh.aspx"> Enter your aliases:<br /> <asp:TextBox IDu003d"TextBox1" runatu003d"server"></asp:TextBox> <asp:Button IDu003d"Button1" runatu003d"server" Textu003d"Button" /> <br /> eg: cot-coc n;w;n;n;e;n;n;enter<br /> <br /> Your aliases will be added to this list:<br /> <br /> cot-coc n;w;n;n;e;n;n;enter<br /> potions get potion;drink potion<br /> <br /><br /> </form> </body> </html> [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo!
