We have an IMMEDIATE need for several .NET Developers, from junior to senior level. These are full-time/salaried positions within our Applications Services Division in Linthicum, MD. General Responsibilities: The .Net Developer is involved in the development, deployment and analysis of Application Services project engagements. The .Net Developer will work in a team environment using the standards and practices that are defined by SMC and their clients for the project engagement. Essential Job Functions: * Participate in the software development lifecycle for the creation of a Pharmacy Management System. * Develop software utilizing industry standard practices and methodologies in Microsoft .Net. * Design or participate in the design and development of user interfaces using HTML, Javascript, and other standard tools. * Design and develop Business Components using C#.Net, VB.Net, or other standard tools. * Design and develop stored procedures and data integrations from 3rd party data sources. * Participate in the design of the system database. * Work with SMC and customer's technical resources to create foundation for reusable software components. * Execute and document unit tests of all software code. * Document and review all aspects of the application with SMC and/or the client. Relationships * Position resides in the Application Services Division of SMC. * Under the supervision of the Project Manager for specific client projects. * Analyst will work closely with Solutions Architect for the project to define specific tasks to be performed during the project lifecycle. Minimum Education and Experience * BS or BA degree preferred. * 3-5 years of application design and programming experience including relational databases. * Experience in developing and implementing stored procedures using Microsoft SQL Server. * Qualified candidates must exhibit excellent communication skills and posses a proven ability to be self-motivated to remain current in both SMC's application development practices and industry standard technology practices. Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: The Data Management Analyst must have a thorough working knowledge of client/server and web-based related database tools specifically relating to Microsoft .Net technologies. Regarding application development, a proficient knowledge of the following is important: * Ability to effectively express technical concepts, both verbally and in writing. * N-Tier application development with a strong emphasis on data validation and system scalability. * Extensive experience with object oriented technologies. * Experience with the design and development of stored procedures using Microsoft SQL Server. * Experience with Visual Studio .Net and the .Net Framework. * The knowledge, ability and desire to learn new skills. * Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience. * Experience with enterprise level business applications including: portal solutions, healthcare systems, claims processing, pharmacy management systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) is a plus. Standard Workweek: Monday-Friday. Scheduling flexibility is required to meet the needs of the division. Travel: Required as needed, but most work will be performed in SMC's Baltimore offices.
