Position: Pre-Sales Systems Engineer (Northern VA) Reporting to VP of Technical Sales and (indirectly to the Regional Sales Director) Basic Job Description: Pre-Sales SE with business integration software experience<> The Systems Engineer will serve as the technical sales interface between a field sales force and a newly targeted customer base for a leading manufacturer of integration software. The SE is an active member of the sales team, and will be called upon to assist in the sales process. This includes collaborating on the technical aspects for winning account strategies. The SE must be able to work independently and be able to take the initiative when appropriate. The SE must be an effective communicator, keeping the account management team current on any technical pre-sales activities The SE is responsible for customer satisfaction, from a technical standpoint, in order to assure all customers are referenceable. Skills / Qualifications: - Degree BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent - 3+ yrs experience in Business Integration (or Software Integration) or application development - Excellent verbal and written skills - Experience in developing and presenting technical presentations - The ability to work as part of a team - The ability to prioritize and manage requests from multiple salespeople - Experience with a broad range of applications - Integration Consulting Experience is desirable - Past experience with Vitria, webMethods, BEA, Tibco, Mercator or SeeBeyond is a plus While I am sure that I either missed something or embellished, this is basically what he was asking for.
