Hi!

I wanted to let everyone know that Microsoft is a gold sponsor of the
CFUNITED conference (http://www.cfunited.com/) in Rockville on June
29th July 1st. There's a mixture of MacroMedia and Microsoft
developer content at this conference. Bill Staples, group program
manager for IIS, will deliver a keynote on "IIS 7.0 and the Future of
IIS." Joel Spolsky, of Joel on Software
(http://www.joelonsoftware.com/), will deliver another keynote,
on "Project Management the Joel on Software Way."

To see topics that may be of special interest to ASP and SQL
programmers such as ASP.net, SQL server tuning, regular expressions,
security, design patterns, CSS see:
http://www.cfunited.com/asp_programmers.cfm

One item that might be of special interest to new .NET developers is
the one day pre-conference class "Introduction to Web Development
Using .NET." This is designed to introduce you to web development.
You'll learn how to use server controls to create HTML, how to
connect controls to databases, and how to use some of the new
features of ASP.NET 2.0, including navigation controls and membership
controls. This class will be taught by local trainer Dwight Barbour.

Dwight Barbour is an instructor and Web consultant specializing in
accessible, data-driven Web sites. His tool set includes World Wide
Web Consortium standards (HTTP, xHTML, CSS), ASP, ASP.NET (VB.Net and
C#), and databases. Dwight has developed collegiate IT certification
programs and has been a faculty member at George Washington
University, Georgetown University, University of the District of
Columbia, and the USDA Graduate School.

You can register separately for just the one day course here:
