Job Title: Junior - Mid-Level .NET Developer Location: Herndon, VA Job Summary: The qualified individual will be part of a team porting an existing VB.NET/ASP.NET/ADO.NET application to a 3-tier C#/ASP.NET/Oracle 10g architecture. In order to succeed in this position, you will need to have experience in .Net (C# and VB.NET) and Oracle 10g. We are willing to train the right candidate, but you must be a quick learner, highly motivated, and display a good work ethic.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Function as a member of the Technical Staff - Work with many application development projects concurrently - Create new tools and integrate them into customer environment - Design, develop, integrate, implement, test, and support .NET applications - Develop applications using .NET (both C# and VB.NET), using Oracle 10g - Work as a self motivated member of a talented team in a flexible fast paced work environment - Design and develop new utilities to automate tasks Education and Training Experience: - Minimum 1 year(s) of .NET development experience (C# and/or VB.NET) - Experience with Oracle 10g and PL-SQL - This is an entry-level position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Must be able to learn new applications and software tools quickly and independently. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Good analytical skills and understanding of the software development life cycle. - Must be familiar with Windows operating system environment, and MS Office tools, including Outlook and Access.
