DEAR FRIEND!
We would like to invite you to Pszinapszis 2006, 10th Budapest Psychology Days , taking place in Budapest, capital of Hungary between the 10th-12th of March 2006, in the Almássy Cultural Centre (H-1077 Budapest, Almássy tér 6.) and the nearby Madách Imre Grammar School.
Pszinapszis, Budapest Psychology Days is organized for the tenth time in 2006 by the Pszichodiák Foundation. Pszinapszis is largest scientific-cultural-educational event in Europe organized by students only. Its aim is to bring psychology up to the general public : we would like to get people familiar with psychology, so that they accept it and think positively about it. This year's motto - on which the programme is based - is: ' The World Within' . Visitors will be invited to discover how today's environment and events are reflected in the inner world of the individuals. Our guest lecturers will examine topics from the viewpoint of the 21st century psychology. Our scientific program includes an English Section on Saturday, the 11th of March, and we also have a wide range of cultural programs: exhibitions, concerts, theatre and dance performances; all are to help the visitor to get closer to the inner world of experiences and emotions.
In our English section, PhD Katalin Varga will hold the first lecture, showing us through examples the everyday use of suggestions (both positive and negative ones), along with the basic principles of suggestive communication. Continuing this train of thought Prof. PhD Éva Bányai, a worldwide-known authority in the field of hypnosis, will tell us about the misteries of hypnosis. In the strictly scientifical line our next guest, PhD György Bárdos will hold a sparkling lecture on the connection between 'psyche and soma' (psychosomatic diseases), the magical influence of the psyche on the body.
During the afternoon, society and its underlying meaning gets into the focus. Prof. PhD György Hunyady, Dean of Facullty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Eötvös Loránd University and Paszkál Kiss will deliver a lecture about an international research on the national identity of the EU member countries. Then, Prof. PhD László Mér"o will challenge our logical thinking in his lecture titled: 'Logic of Trance'. Our last two guests will approach the topic of society from a practical point of view, giving us a guideline how to function in a different cultural millieu: in a foreign country, that is (Katalin Tar: Intercultural communication) or as a member of an organization (Ilona Er"os: Organization Development in General and in Gestalt Approach ).
And here's a selection from our wide cultural program: we invited Borbély M"uhely, the internationally well-known jazz quartet lead by saxophonist Mihály Borbély. The ANEMON Group, formed by students of the Hungarian University of Applied Arts, will introduce their newest collection in an amazing fashion show. And we highly recommend our dance workshops (e.g. bellydance and salsa). In the evening, please visit the alternative theatre plays and contemporary dance performances.
