Call for PhD Students and PhDs’
   
  We invite PhD Students and PhDs’ of Psychology to supervise a workgroup for 
the
   
  EUROPEAN SUMMER SCHOOL 2008
   
  Under the topic of
   
  SmArt Psychology 
   
  Organised by the
   
  EUROPEAN FEDERATION OF PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS ASSOCIATIONS
  In Dolny   Kubin, Slovakia, 13th -20th of July 2008 
   
  The topic of the European Summer School which will be held in 2008 is SmArt 
Psychology and concentrates on the Psychology of Art, especially in terms of 
applied psychology. Suggested topics are: Art therapy; Artistic/creative 
personality; Art workshops in team building; The use of symbols in art; 
Cognitive process in the perception of art; The use of art in marketing 
psychology; Cross-cultural differences in the perception of art; Tests on 
creativity; The differences in expression and perception of art based on 
gender; The use of art in diagnostics, The trait of creativity.  Nevertheless, 
we strongly encourage applicants to suggest their own topics.  
   
  We are interested in self-motivated, reliable and creative candidates. Fluent 
English and a Masters Degree in Psychology are essential. Experience in 
conducting research projects will be taken into consideration.
   
  The responsibility of each work group supervisor includes running workgroup 
sessions during the Summer School with the intent of designing a research 
project to be carried out afterwards, during the following academic year. The 
supervisor is supposed to control the research process until it is finished. 
The final outcome of the research depends on the supervisor and will be 
published internationally.
   
  Hotel accommodation and full board meals in addition to travel expenses will 
be taken care of for all candidates. Candidates will also have the opportunity 
to meet up with top academic professors of the field and work with a group 
consisting of the best European students to carry out an international 
research. 
   
  We are looking forward to your response. CVs and motivation letters (with a 
brief description of the chosen topic, a draft regarding the research project 
and a picture enclosed) will be collected until the 5th of January, 2008.  The 
six candidates chosen will be notified within the third week of January.
