The 12th World Congress on Public Health is about to make a great difference in
global public health with the contribution of the world students
ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES
Video Show:

Group Activity:
· to extend our knowledge about significant health issues in the different
parts of the world
Workshop:
· parallel workshop sessions to discuss students' perspective on global
public health
· 3 different aspects of the discipline: Education, Research and Practice
Group Presentations:
· outcomes of the workshop to be presented to all the participants
Declaration:
· the main outcome of the meeting
· will be written based on the approaches that have been developed during
the workshop sessions
· will be presented at a special session within the 12th World Congress on
Public Health
SOCIAL PROGRAM
· "International Student Party"
· Boat tour in the Bosphorus (Istanbul Strait)
· Gala dinner and social program of the 12th World Congress on Public Health
APPLICATION
Who can apply?
* Any
student of higher education (college, university, graduate school,
master's degree, PhD) who has particular interest in public health and
strong will to make contribution to it.
How to apply?
· Application form is available on our website: http://www.ismoph2009.org
· The deadline for application: November 30th 2008
Selection criteria
Quota: 100 participants
Applicants will be evaluated by a committee based on:
* level of training at present, past work and publications
* proficiency in English
* general potential to make contribution
* those
applicants who have also submitted an abstract to the World Public
Health Congress will have higher priority for selection
Coverage of the participation
Selected participants will also get chance to attend the 12thWorld Congress on
Public Health from April 27th May 1st2009 in Istanbul. They will be provided
free accommodation and mealsfor 5 days (full course of both ISMOPH and WCPH) by
Turkish Public Health Association.
Travel support
Once the participants are selected, they will get chance to apply for travel
support provided by Turkish Public Health Association. However, only limited
number of participants will be able to obtain this support.
